"Annabel Reader, co-owner of the Colorado Shoe School, created the school with Dan Huling in 2018 and enjoys teaching how to make some stylish footwear. Reader used to work with costumes, which inspired her to start creating shoes. Reader has many inspiring stories, such as one student, Lisa, who came to Colorado to help make shoes for her partner, who has dwarfism. The Colorado Shoe School also tries to stay environmentally conscious, using many upcycled and recycled materials."
