This piece was painted at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM in the spring of 2019. Our studio was overlooking the valley towards the back canyon. It was as if the valley was beginning bud. That and the dark, starry sky informed the roots of this painting. For me, the yellow and orange colors signify growth and new beginnings.
