Acrylic paint on black gesso
 
This painting was made at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM during the spring of 2019. This was my view of the canyon from underneath the portal, beside the studio I was working in. This landscape is mixed in a wash of night and day. The ladder was inspired by one similarly represented from Georgia O'Keeffe's Abiquiu home. The black stars shine brightly against a background of pink and purple.
